This is a 1950s evening clutch made of black beaded peau de soie. The interior is gold stamped Spulcioni Firenze. The interior is lined in grey fabric and has a pocket built onto either side, the wider side pocket having a smaller pocket built onto it. The purse, closed, measures 11 1/2 in width across its top and 13 3/4 across its bottom and has a height of 6 1/4. It closes with a silk covered metal bar clasp. It is in very good condition except for a tiny wear spot exposing the frame at each of the top corners (see last close-up photo), fairly minor. In addition, the clasp is a little difficult to snap closed, but it does work. Despite the wear, this is a quality Italian evening clutch purse - very classy!
